Ibrahim Hilal
In the final week of September, a video clip filmed on a Tel Aviv train was posted by the account "Safaa Subhi صفاء صبحي@SafaaAlNuaimi." The clip depicted three women and included text that implicitly refuted the characterization of Israel as an apartheid state.

The post went viral, with the clip exceeding half a million views in just one week, along with hundreds of comments, likes, and shares.

Although many comments were negative, describing the post as mere propaganda for Israel, the post received positive interactions from a network of accounts with Egyptian names expressing support for Israel.
This report by Arabi Facts Hub exposes a network of interconnected and often fake accounts that are actively promoting Israeli propaganda.
Accounts Against Egypt
The account of Safaa Subhi belongs to an Iraqi journalist residing in London. His television interviews and posts show that he is a supporter of Israel and its war on Gaza. He also promotes the "antisemitism" narrative adopted by Israel against its opponents.

Safaa published a number of misleading posts, including a re-post of a blog entry by Egyptian novelist Alaa Al Aswany after rephrasing it, claiming that Al Aswany was speaking on behalf of Hamas, and that the movement "slaughtered children, women, and the elderly" during the October 7 attack, a claim that was proven false according to an investigation conducted by Al Jazeera English.

Safaa’s posts show a hostile stance towards Egypt and a clear bias towards Israel. Commenting on demonstrations in Damascus against the Egyptian regime, he posted that he "enjoys watching Israel's enemies humiliate each other."

Safaa is not alone in this hostile stance towards Egypt, the account leads a network of accounts that publish in the Egyptian dialect and incite against Egypt. One of the most prominent of these accounts is named "♂️ Saeed (@tito3956)", which uses a picture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a profile picture and frequently interacts with Safaa’s posts.

"Yuki_20_25" also interacts with Safaa. This account sometimes posts in the Egyptian dialect and other times in the Levantine or Lebanese dialect. It expresses clear animosity towards Egypt's leadership and people, and incites against Syrian refugees using disdainful and inflammatory sectarian language.

The account also interacts with Israeli accounts that publish pro-Israeli content, such as the "Eddie Cohen” account. This strengthens the link between it and Israeli propaganda networks on digital platforms.

Similarly, "Naser Naser21 🇸🇬" (@naser21_naser), a new account established in 2025, posts content in the Egyptian dialect. It actively engages with Safaa through comments and reposts. Notably, "Naser Naser21 🇸🇬" publishes content critical of the Egyptian political system and is followed by another Egyptian account, "@Masry_smsm3," which shares posts with a similar critical tone towards the system.

Posts from both accounts show support for Israel and promote normalization agreements, such as the Egyptian-Israeli Peace Treaty. They call for Israel to be considered a friendly neighboring country and to be supported against its adversaries.
Kemetian Accounts that are Pro-Israel
The network interacting with Safaa was not limited to accounts that are hostile, or which incite against Egypt. The network also included Pro-Egyptian accounts that adopt the Kemetist identity. Kemetism is a movement that derives its name from the ancient Egyptian name Kemet, and advocates for the Pharaonic identity of Egypt, to the exclusion of other identities.
Despite the differing political orientations of the accounts, both groups agreed on promoting Israel.

Among these accounts, @Bahaa28193822 stands out. It is a relatively recent Iraqi account, created in 2019. The account reposts content from Egyptian Kemetian accounts, and interacts with Safaa at the same time. It also engages with Israeli accounts posting pro-Israel comments.

The Iraqi account reposted tweets by @kami_egypt2023. The account’s name and interface clearly promote Pharaonic "Kemetian" Egypt while simultaneously displaying support for Israel.

Among the Egyptian accounts interacting with Safaa Subhi, the @DutchEgyptian stands out. This account belongs to an Egyptian residing in the Netherlands who expresses support for Israel.

Similarly, @MOHAMED54147318, a new account, was identified. This account belongs to an Egyptian based in Italy who openly supports Israel and promotes Israeli policies.

Among the central accounts interacting with Safaa Subhi, @Adel14780289 stands out, identifying its location in Egypt and placing the Egyptian flag next to its name. The account shows support for Israel and publishes content describing its intentions to "crush and eliminate all its opponents."

Analysis of the aforementioned accounts revealed consistent interaction with a central pro-Israel account, "@karimGahin1." This account actively engages with numerous Egyptian and Israeli profiles, all exhibiting significant pro-Israel promotional activity on X.

Israel Lovers in Egypt
The account "@karimGahin1" plays a central role in connecting Egyptian pro-Israel accounts with Israeli accounts publishing in Arabic, such as "Israel in Arabic," "Eddie Cohen," "Israel in Egypt," and "Captain Ella." However, no information about the account owner is available other than that he is the CEO of an institute called "Vienna Academy for Training and Education."

Upon searching for the academy, we found its website, but we could not find any detailed information about the institute. There is no data available about the trainers or the staff, nor are there details about the type of training offered, with the exception of some educational courses for teaching the German language.

In addition to the lack of any details on the website, the academy's social media channels were found to be inactive, and the website's store was not working.

The next step was to use WayBackMachine to check the website's archive record, which showed that the internet archive had recorded 22 snapshots of the website since September 15, 2022.

Upon reviewing the website's appearance in September 2022, it was found to offer a variety of training courses in nutrition, programming, and design. The website also featured social media buttons, but all of them led to pages of a company called "Zemez," a US-based company specializing in website template design.

A search for the company and its founder led us to the company's Facebook page. Facebook’s transparency feature indicated that two individuals residing in the United States and six residing in Ukraine manage the page. Furthermore, the company's founder was identified as being of Ukrainian origin.
Then, in the archived version dated August 19, 2024, a picture of "Karim Gahin," owner of the @karimGahin1 account, appeared, and the social media platform buttons stopped working. All training courses also disappeared, with only German language courses remaining, which indicates a change in the purpose of the website, and links the account owner to the academy and its website."

To confirm this relationship, we conducted a search on the website's domain revealing that it is indeed registered in Vienna.

“Sons of Israel” in Egypt
By tracking @karimGahin1's interactions, we developed a network map based on the consensus of opinion and support for the ideas presented. Among the most prominent accounts following and interacting with it was "@Ahmed2021hassan."

As is clear from its username and dialect, JD @Ahmed2021hassan is an Egyptian account. However, it is fully supportive of Israel. It constantly interacts with accounts such as: "Israel in Arabic", "Eddie Cohen" and "Safaa Subhi".

This account explicitly attacks Egypt and its regime, asserting Egypt's inability to wage war with Israel, and suggesting that the Egyptian regime's threats are merely attempts to buy time before its actual collapse.

A reverse image search of the account's profile picture revealed a link to the LinkedIn profile of an American named "Max Caldwell." However, the picture appears to have been deleted, and no further information about him was found.

This was not the only name associated with the image, as advanced research showed that it was linked to three other people, two of whom were on dating sites, and one had identified his location in Greece. This indicates that the image is used by multiple accounts, and the true identity of its owner is unknown, and raises suspicions that the @Ahmed2021hassan account may be fake.

Analysis of account activity and research revealed that the page also manages @israel_egypt (Egypt.israel), a new page created for supporters of Israel from Egypt and other Arab countries. The majority of its content consists of reposts from @Ahmed2021hassan.

An examination of the accounts connected to the page revealed a link to another account, also named JD, but with the username @needyouisrael, which indicated a U.S. location.

This account was created in 2025 and reposts all of @Ahmed2021hassan;s posts, which suggests that the two accounts are managed by the same person.
The account was also linked to another Israeli account: Lorena Khateeb, an Israeli of Druze origin, who was part of a team within the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs that focused on communicating with the Arab public through social media, with the aim of spreading Israeli propaganda.

She is also a friend of Sapir Miz Levi, the social media manager for Arabic language at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She holds a master's degree in Arabic language and literature and is known for her activism and interest in Middle Eastern affairs and diplomacy. She is also known for her expertise in digital media and influential content creation on social media platforms, as she manages teams that aim to spread propaganda content promoting Israeli interests in the Arab world.

The @needyouisrael account is associated with "Stand With Us Arabic," an Israeli page similar to "Israel in Arabic" that disseminates Israeli propaganda in Arabic.

This page is linked to several Israeli accounts active in publishing Arabic content, such as "Sapir Levi," "Avichay Adraee," and "Eddie Cohen," and it is also linked to the "Karim Gahin" account.

Network analysis of Egyptian pro-Israel accounts indicates that they consist of three layers or types of accounts. The first layer includes original Israeli accounts, such as "Eddie Cohen," "Sapir Levi," and "Israel in Arabic," which directly publish Israeli content. The second layer includes accounts that act as a link or gateway for transferring Israeli propaganda to the Arab world, such as "Karim Gahin," @Ahmed2021hassan, and "Safaa Subhi." The third layer includes new or semi-automated accounts that re-publish and interact with the content to amplify it and increase its spread.
